A Vision for Education

In this day and age, we have struggled to establish a place for sex offenders in our population. With the media showing us the worst of the worst, and the ever increasing amount of laws that restrict what sex offenders can do, we are being taught as a society that all sex offenders were created equal.

Just like crimes in general, sex offenders have many different levels of severity. They range from consensual teen sex to the worst of the worst in the child rapist/murderer.

The goal and intent of this organization is to find ways to educate the general public about the differences in sex offenders, and to educate them on how to help stop the cycle.

We are going to focus on educating the Legislators on all of the studies that are out there on sex offenders and their risk to reoffend, their recidivism levels, and the effects of treatment on the numbers.

We are also going to focus on teaching the general public about how to get involved in the law making process. We are going to teach them the falicies that exist in the registry itself. We are also going to help them create new laws that not only work to protect children, but are fair and just as well.

And most of all, we will focus on ways to stop the abuse. Hopefully before it starts. We will find ways to educate families about signs of risk, ways to report, who to report to, and, should it be needed, how to find help for a victim.

Our goal is to help bring together the communites from across the state and create laws that will help us feel safer, actually protect our children, and, when an offender is released, feel assured that their risk to reoffend is minimized.
